“ Gukbap (rice in soup) is always my favorite. That's why I wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. I ordered the spicy pork bone soup set for lunch. The soup is very tasty with the big pieces of pork bones in it. I would have given it a 5 stars if the pork bones were more tender. These were a bit too chewy by my standard. I came to the restaurant at 11:30am so it was pretty quiet. The servers came over to check in with me a few times to see if the food was ok with me. I'm proud to use my limited Korean to tell them 너무 맛있어요 (very delicious!)! ”
“ We ordered via Uber eats once and I liked the soup so we visited the store today. Sundae (Korean blood sausage) soup with pork intestine was as good as I remembered, rich with hearty texture, you just need to add a bit of salt to make it perfect. Fried chicken is not very impressive, despite the fact that we like the teokbokki, the batter of chicken was just too thick. The takoyaki is too floury, it's very difficult to find any octopus. Pan chan (side dishes) are pretty poor compared to other Korean restaurants. The restaurant is old, the furniture is torn out, and there is some serious cleaning up needed for the female toilet. ”

The staff were polite, but not as attentive as I had hoped. While they did their job, there wasn’t much of a personal touch or extra effort to make the dining experience stand out. The restaurant itself could use some renovations. The interior felt outdated, and it could really benefit from a refresh to make the atmosphere more inviting. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn’t quite up to par, which detracted from the overall experience. While the food was filling and the service was acceptable, the ambiance and cleanliness could use some improvement. “ I came in with my son, we passed at least 4 restaurants before settling here, it is amazing. A1! We ordered the fried boneless chicken, they give a sweet and sour sauce with it and it is to die for. They also accommodated my son with complimentary snacks while he had to wait. The service is spectacular. We had the sweetest waitress, she has been so kind to my son as well. Family restaurant, date restaurant, casual, business meeting, this place is suitable for most occasions. Highly recommend. !! So happy I live close by, will be coming back 10/10 ”
“ I would like to review Busan Daeji Gukbap Korean restaurant. I ordered their signature pork soup. I was greeted by staffs and seated right away. Food: it came in less than 10 minutes with the side dishes. Broth was light and needed extra seasoning with the sauces provided (you can add to your taste). Portion was very big with plenty of meat and a healthy serving of sesame powder. It was very satisfying and hearty. 8.5 out of 10. I personally think South Castle Korean restaurant on Austin is better. Service: servers came twice to see how the food tasted and refilled kimchi once. 8/10. I felt well taken care of. Overall: restaurant was a bit dirty and smells old. It isn't the nicest environment and I wouldn't bring guests here. However, the food is hearty and filling with large portions, so visit if you are after a comforting meal. ”
